END USER TIPS & TRICKS - .net 2.0 security setting with sdns.exe

I get a problem with a client pc, os:windows 7 x64,

I run "sdns.exe" , enter the url ,click ok,but the .net security can not be set.

The detail of log file like below:

   Setting security for .NET 2.0 ...

How can I get this pc .net security setting?with the sdns.exe and how? Or manual,and how?

Hi -

Thank you for your post. You have a few options to move forward.

First, consult the documentation for up to date information including the installation of .Net 3.5 or above as the latest requirement. Also, ensure your IE is set to 32bit and that if it's IE 9 you're in compatibility mode.

Then, reference this video for a proper installation and configuration. In addition, some users have found configuring the client can be made simpler by utilizing this Community Project .

I got an issue where after rebooting the computer, I had the .NET Security not configured error and the sdns.exe wouldn't work properly. I had to reinstall Aras, execute sdns.exe, then it worked properly.
