SUPPORT Q&A - Installing on My SQL ?

Roel - Thursday, September 12, 2013 4:00 AM:

I was under the impression that Aras would run on My Sql also. If not, then the rest of the Question doen't make any sense, but if yes, then this is the problem im facing:

I am trying to install Innovator and have the prerequisites done. The configuration completes up to the "Configure Database" step where I select "Create a new database", and enter the Login ID (root) and password using server authentication. When I click on "connect", I get an error [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory] SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

I can open My SQL Workbench and connect to the database using "root" and the password, so I'm not sure where the error comes from.

I tried to use: (localhost),Localhost:3306, Name of database instance, but nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions?

thanks in advance,

Roel

Hello Roel,

Thank you for your question. Aras does not run on My SQL at this time. For a list of platform specifications please visit us online in the documentation center.

Best,

Jennifer
