Hello,
Has anyone tried to setup a vault on a network share (i.e. \serverArasVault)? We are trying to use our file server at the location where the vault is housed. However, we are receiving an Access Denied error when adding files to a document inside Innovator. Does anyone know what user name Innovator tries to use to store files in the vault? We look at the logs on the file server and it shows the Machine Account being passed. If someone could help us create a vault on a network share, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,

The VaultServer (/vault in IIS) and the Vault file folder should be on the same machine.
The VaultServer uses local system users to create and access the folder structure.

We have the Vault file folder on a separate network share (Linux server with a Samba share) and it works fine. The Aras Vaultserver uses the Windows machine domain account (i.e. DOMAIN-machine_name$) to access the share. We setup the Linux/Samba server permissions accordingly and it works fine. I'm not sure if we can get the Aras Vaultserver to use a specific user rather than the machine account though.chaludan - Friday, March 4, 2016 6:02 AM:
MAttAPI, did you use UNC path (\servershare) or just letter of share (i.e. V:)? Thanks! Daniel
