I am completely new to Innovator. Yesterday I decided to install the application on a brand new virtual server with Windows 2012 Standard OS. It includes .NET Framework 4.5 by default, it cannot be reinstalled nor uninstalled. During the installation phase, I went successfully through configuring database (resides on a different SQL 2008 R2 server), but right after that the installer raised an error and cancelled.
I read a couple of articles saying that some installers incorrrectly recognize if .NET Framework 4 and higher is installed so I wondered if this might be the case too. So I went on and installed .NET Framework 3.5 and - installation succeeded.
When I started writing this post, it was meant as a question but now the issue is resolved so if this experience helps anyone, use it.
