SUPPORT Q&A - Aras innovator installation rolling back

sunil_b_v - Saturday, June 21, 2014 6:14 AM:

I have recently downloaded Aras Innovator 10. I had installed it fully. It got installed but i was unable to start it due to absence of some pre requisite items of windows. Hence i got it uninstalled. Now i have installed all the pre requisites as per guide. Now when i stall Aras Innovator again. It comes to a point shown below.

The next thing i see is the installation rolls back and says about some interruption. What may be the cause of this thing. Please help.

sunil_b_v - Saturday, June 28, 2014 10:32 AM:

Guys, please help me over the above issue.

I have tried tens of times by configuring IIS, .NET and SQL with different ways. I am unable to install Aras Innovator 10 on my server. It rolls back and does not even give any error message or error code.

I have even tried to install Aras Innovator 9.4 . And it comes out with same problem. It rolls back.

Please help me over the above issue.

Waiting for a voice.

Try removing the database configured, and then try...

Thanks for your reply.

I removed the database configured, but the situation remains the same after that. Thanks again for your effort.

Sorry, but i gave up with the error.

Thereafter, i had installed on Win 7 for demo. it installed without errors. I am yet to install it on server. Could not solve the above problem.

heidi - Monday, August 4, 2014 4:27 AM:

Ok thanks so much for responding. I might do the same thing then.

Edson - I'm not sure if you got my previous response but I am using windows server 2008 r2 32 bit evaluation version, with sql express. I previously got Aras installed without the correct settings but could not access via my browser. So I corrected the IIS settings as well as did a fresh install but still having the same roll back error. Any help would be appreciated.

edmoreirabr - Monday, August 4, 2014 7:10 AM:

Heidi, I had this issue in the past and it was related to IIS security.

Most of cases you need to double check the requirements BEFORE to setup Aras

What's your timezone? I'm available to check your installation using Teamviewer if you want.
Regards,
Edson
