Roques,

Did you setup the .NET security por IE?

What´s the Aras Innovator version you're trying to do this action?

Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

I have the same problem. .Net controls not available when attempting to add file attachments. Windows 10 IE11  and Windows 7  IE11

Set EnableIEHosting to 1, ran sdns as admin, tried IE, Chrome, Firefox..., not able to add files to cad documents...

Thanks,

BG

Hi BG,

What version of Aras are you currently using? Can you confirm that you have added your Aras url to the Trusted Sites list in IE?

yh_bg - Tuesday, September 27, 2016 9:46 PM:

Hi Eli,
Sorry for the delay, I foolishly replied to the email rather than post here on the forum.
Version 11 SP5.
Yes, added url to trusted sites, ran sdns as admin with url and added EnableIEHosting = 1 (Dword) to registry.
Using Windows 7 IE11 and Windows 10 IE11, same issue for both.

Thanks,

BG

Hi BG,

It sounds like there may be a configuration issue that is specific to your machine. If you are an Aras Partner or Subscriber, the Aras Support team should be able to help you straighten out the issue. If you aren't a Partner or Subscriber, our Community team will be able to guide you on the next steps to troubleshooting the file upload error.

In explorer 11 and 10 i also face same kind of issue with Aras Innovator 11

Error Message: The Operation is not functional because the .Net Controls are not available.

While dot net framework 4.5 installed on machine.

Hi Abhishek,

If you've tried all of the tips in this thread and your other threads regarding this error, I'd recommend the same to you as I did to BG.

Hi Abhishek,

.Net and IE10 and 11 are painful.

I was able to get 1 machine to work after some advice from Eli.
To get Windows 7 to work, I did a fresh boot to ensure IE was not running and I ran SDNS as administrator. It seems important to ensure IE is not running when you add the URL via SDNS.

Also, make sure you have EnableIEHosting set to 1 in the registry.
And, after all of that, ensure compatibility mode is turned off in IE.

Follow the instructions in this guide;

www.aras.com/.../DocumentView.aspx

Aras 11SP5 is a challenge to get fully functional due to .Net reliance.  Worked ok with IE9 after a lot of finageling, but since the IE11 update, I have not been able to get it going on any Windows 10 machines. (Everything works (I think)  except attaching files).

I would love to try SP8 which in theory should work with any browser. But I cannot convince my boss to subscribe because of all the .Net related issues I have had with demo-ing SP5.

I hope you have better luck than I did. And if you ever come up with a solution to .Net with IE11 on Windows 10, please share with the community.

Thank you,

BG
