Hello,
I just installed Innovator on a clean Windows Server 2008 computer with IIS 7.0 and SQL Server 2008. However, when I try to log in, I get a weird looking screen without the Login or Cancel labels. Additionally, I can not log on at all.
I enabled script debugging and got errors (see below) that indicated a file could not be found (I checked, the file is in the correct location).
Next, I tried to enter "innovator" as the password and got an error stating that "top.aras is null" (see last error box below).
I ran the .Net Security Config. Tool with no problems (checked the log file). I'm running IE 7.0 and double checked all settings...so that is not causing this problem. I tried logging in from a remote computer with no success. I even turned off the Windows host firewalls....no help.
I"m stuck...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I am not yet an expert but this error seems to me that you can't connect to the Database. I had this one when I first try to install ARAS.
I resolved it with this link : support.microsoft.com/.../914277 and this one www.microsoft.com/.../5f8fe119-4095-4094-bba5-7dec361c7afe.mspx for allow remote connection.
Hope this will fix your problem,
Remi

Try logging in from another PC. Using Windows Server 2008 as a client can be problematic with all the extra security features.
The documentation for setting up the new client can be found here:

Remi,
Thanks for help. Unfortunately, this wasn't the source of my problem. Aras support (thanks Bill) was able to help me get our clients working so we can now run the app from our remote PC's. Even though it's not that big of an issue now, my original problem remains if I try to run Innovator on the server.
