DEVELOPERS FORUM - Uploading a file into a ARAS vault with a VBa script

morenton - Wednesday, September 2, 2009 5:08 PM:

Hi,

I wrote a VBa script which allows uploading a file from a local disk into a ARAS vault server. The script is derivated from a code published on www.motobit.com/.../ and I was helped by Yoann MAINGON (PRODEOS company) and Peter SCHROER (ARAS company). Many thanks to both of them.

You can download the script there : http://www.plmlab.fr/uploads/RIALTO/aras_upload_vba_v1.txt

It's a first step to create a connector between CATIA and a ARAS server named RIALTO which is described there : http://www.plmlab.fr/index.php?page=rialto

But you can use the VBa script for other purposes.

Your comments are welcome.

Regards,

Hi,

Below, you can have an overview of an example of using this VBa code  :

www.youtube.com/watch

It's a first step to create a free connector between CATIA V5 and ARAS Innovator. It does work on simple models and the connector is fully integrated to CATIA.

Hi,

You can now download :

* the VBa code of the CATIA / ARAS connector

* the user's guide

* the UML class diagram of the data model used

And you also can see a video of the connector's main capabilities between CATIA and ARAS Innovator.

All that stuff is available there :
