We are looking at setting up multiple server vaults for different locations and business groups and having only the one instance of Innovator. From what i have read, all meta data is stored in the innovator database but files are stored in the vaults. User can be assigned to a certain vault under the user settings Default Vault. Question is when the users are looking at the parts and Bom's can they view files (Documents) stored in a vault which is not their default vault? if they can, how can they be restricted?
I would like to restrict users to be able to view only the files in their default vault, but of course some users will need access to all files in all vaults.
How has others handled this type of securities? Note: for security reasons some files can not reside out side their country of origin, therefore multiple vaults are required.
