APPLICATION - PRODUCT ENGINEERING - How to make the strcutre browser show additional data

CycleOp - Sunday, April 18, 2010 2:28 AM:

Hi,

Is there a way to make the "structure browser" show additional information such as Item State (preliminary, released, superseeded)?

Thanks.

Sagi

Hi,

That's a very good question...

I would like to see the NAMES of my parts in the structure browser.  Without the names I find it useless, unreadable.

 Somebody knows ?

Thanks.

Vince

They say that jewels are the best friends a lady would seek. Jewels will help to beautify the lady before you. So, if you love your girl, give her Jewellery Funs for her next coming birthday. Another lovely present that she would love too, would be the Louboutin Shoes which has been proved to be the shoe that can make her legs look slender, making her look sexier. If you are thinking of what shoes to buy for your teenage boy, I would suggest the Supra Shoes UK as it is a combination of fashion and good quality. Ask any teenage boy on the street and they would put their thumbs up for this shoe. Of course, the Nike Shoes Sale is the never ending hot topic among the presents for the birthdays. The Nike shoes has won the heart of many people, the young and old alike. Last, there is the Cheap North Face which is the most suitable clothes to wear, if you are thinking of having a trip outdoors.64

Vince,

I looked at it some more and the HTML page which is the StructureBrowser seem to be calling an Aras internal component ("Aras.Server.Core.StructureBrowser"), which means this is in the core and always returns a fixed set of attributes for each item.

If I'm not mistaken - I think I've heard somewhere that Aras plans to change this and make the structure browser more flexible in future releases.

Thank you Sagi.

It is interesting to realize that the structure browser is the first "tool" I am interested in and that it is not yet flexible...

I hope Aras will improve it soon.

Sagi,

You are the first person I can talk to concerning these topics, and I don't have a lot of IT knowledge.

So I have a question : if I want to download the add-ons from Aras, for example Multi-Level BOM Tool, what is the procedure ? Do I need to do it on my client PC or on the server ? (I can't do it myself on the server)

And what to do exactly  with these xml files ? Copy files in a folder ? If so where exactly ?

Thanks

Vince

Hey Vince,

Follow this link to see an answer:http://www.aras.comhttp://www.aras.com/Community/forums/p/588/1687.aspx

You can usually find answers to FAQ's in the Aras Forums so use the search capabilities.
