After installing 9.2 using existing database during installation I get the error "invalid MessageCheckInterval" variable value. I have not been able to find an answer as to why this is erroring out. After i get past this error I am then unable to see any of the TOC items - Item Types etc. Nothing in the TOC will show any database objects that do exist in the database. If I "list all" i get nothing. If I try to add new I get "already exist in database" message.
Any direction is much appreciated.

You can't run a 9.1 database with a 9.2 codebase. You can 1) export everything from your 9.1 environment and import into a clean 9.2 database or 2) have your 9.1 database upgraded to 9.2. Aras offers free upgrades as part of its subscription packages.

There does not seem any intuitive way to do the upgrade one's self. I tried exporting all of my custom ItemTypes,Lists,Forms,Methods, and actual Items, and then importing them into the 9.2 database. This did not work well, as I was greeted with lots of fun errors upon trying to find my tranferred items.
I assumed that the upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2 would be easy and fairly seamless myself, but I guess that's why they tell you not to assume things!
Let me know if you have any success, maybe the suggestions in my thread above will be helpful to you.

Phil: Thanks for the reply. I was able to get 9.2 running but only after completely removing the 9.1 database. I didn't have much in the database as I installed only for testing and evaluating but I could see where this would have been an issue with a production release.

I replied because I am attempting it yet again today. Still not working too nicely. Any Items I have that have associated (referenced) files, seem to error out on me. Also, on certain ItemTypes I receive an awesome "There is no tag in response" error, which somewhat baffles me. Here is the order I tried to export from my 9.1 database:
1. ItemTypes (including Relationship Itemtypes)
2. RelationshipTypes
3. Permissions
4. Users
5. Forms
6. Lists
7. Methods
8. Grids
9. Actual Items
Oddly enough, this seemed to work for some ItemTypes and all data seemed to move as expected. However, with ItemTypes with referenced files, I am still running into issues.
