SUPPORT Q&A - Verify PR failed

We are testing the workflow of PR's and are having trouble with the verification process. Once the CS1 assigns an owner, the owner gets the PR in his in basket but can't open the PR.  In addition, if we go to the Change management section and try looking up the PR it does not show up. Does anyone have an idea as to what could be going wrong here?
Thanks for the help!
Hector

Sounds like a Permissions problem.  Is the owner a member of the All Employees Identity?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the fast response.  I added the list of "owners" to all employees and that seems to have fixed the issue.
We were also observing that the PRs, ECRs, and ECNs in the In Basket say read only.  If we want to edit them, we have to go to the change management folder, look them up, and edit at this location.  Is this normal, and/or the correct procedure?
Thanks,
Hector

The InBasket grid is a read-only view of the Activities assigned to the user.  Double-clicking on a row opens the voting dialog to act on the activity.  If you want to jump directly to the PR/ECR/ECN, use the right-click menu in the InBasket.  For example, there should an "Edit PR" option for PR activities.  There is also a toolbar button for the same purpose (fifth one from the left, labeled "Edit the Attached Item").

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the follow up here. I don't see either option, "Edit PR" or tool bar option "Edit the Attached Item". Above I have copied a screen capture of what I see. Any thoughts?

Kind Regards,

Hector

What version are you using?  The "Open Item" menu choice is the old name for the one I was talking about.  It may be an extra click to lock the PR for edit, but "Open Item" should at least open the form for you.

I am using Version 9.0.1 Build: 5430, Open Item does infact open the item, but when it does it is a "read only" document. Is this an issue with the version I am using?
