Hello,
We just switched to the new version and we can't use our current citrix config with the .Net framework. All users are logged in as Power Users, the Innovator login screen loads, enter our password and then when we try to log in, nothing happens.
On the server side, an error is produced regarding the registry. (Description below)
Now, if we promote a user to admin on the citrix server, all works fine. Is there a certain permission we need to grant to our group of users?
any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

From event viewer, look like the power user goup cannot read from the registry:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( .NET Runtime ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Unable to open shim database version registry key - v2.0.50727.00000.

Hi,
We were getting the same errors in our registry, however, our users were able to log in without problem. Our citrix users don't have any special permissions. They are just part of the local group.
We found a Microsoft Hotfix, KB918642,
FIX: A .NET Framework 2.0-based application may require read/write permissions to a registry key even though the application only has to read the registry key. Applying this fixed the registry error. We had a heck of a time getting the hotfix from Microsoft, but eventually did.
Good luck.

Hello,
I have tried the hotfix as well. It resolved the error message but did not change the application behavior. Fortunetly, we were able to switch on a seperate citrix server and didn't have any problems.
Thanks for your time,
