How to collaborate in ARAS development

Hi, Our team is looking for a replacement of our out-of-date PLM system, so we are doing some investigations around PLMs like ARAS, Agile, PTC. I am a newbie of ARAS, I have downloaded and installed ARAS community edition in my laptop. I have several questions about collaboration among team. If each of us has a development environment of ARAS, how can we sync with others? I mean after sync from version control, how to deploy the code, use import/export tool? Or is there a better solution? And how can we upgrade from integration environment to staging environment? Appreciate your help.
  • The best solution is to set up a test server that you can all log in to - a desktop or server will suffice for evaluation. If you have additional environments on laptops you would need to move you customizations over to the test server manually by exporting databases or creating packages - or both.  (See documentation). This is more of a deployment/synchronization question that is unique to your business - (i.e. your tool/process preferences).  The Aras documentation and packaging utility can help you to get data from one instance to another.   Documentation  Package utility   FYI - our support team cannot engage with non-subscribers.  However if you want to bring Aras in for a POC our consulting team can help you set this up as part of the scope.
