Changing the lifecycle status on Reject path.

Hi, In an workflow activity two paths are there like 1) Approved 2) Rejected. In “Approved” path I configured as a “On Close” event. Then based on the event status the lifecycle is changing from one status to another status. But In “Rejected” path  how can I configure as a “On refuse” event . I tried it. but I am unable to workout. Basically how to configure the lifecycle promotion for multiple paths in an activity. say for example you take 1. approve 2. reject. how can we configure this. Kindly provide the way.
