A help for checking whether due date is entered in action item in ECO

Hi expert, I need to add VB codes in 'gAction Item Start Action' method  in ECO to check whether due date in Action Item in ECO is entered by user. If not, I need to show message for a user to enter it. Would you kindly help how to do it in VB code? Thank you so much.
