How to configure SMTP Email in IIS for ARAS 14+

Hi ArG,

is your I14 on a different server or on the same server then your previous Innovator?

From my point of view you have to install SMTP within the Server Manager (Add Roles and Features...), it´s nothing that Aras Innovator contains.

It is on the same server. For other instance like 11 & 12 SP18 i can see SMTP mail but for 14 i cant. Below screen shot for aras 12 instance on same IIS application pool

Ah I mixed this topic with another Email related one. I thought this would be general server setting.

But you are probably right. Aras 14+ has replaced ASP.NET with .NET Core components. But I don´t think the SMTP object is gone. It´s just somewhere else.

Take a look at the Installation Guide regarding emails. Maybe there are some hints.

There is nothing much in installation Guide. We can configure SMTP server in innovatorconfig xml, but seems not working. 

You seem to have a subscription. This would be a perfect question for official Aras support!

This forum works well for most questions. But many here are free users. So as soon a subscriber version pops up, most people will not be able to help you.
