Creating new Part Classification/Type

Hello I'd like to add another Type (classification) to the list of those selectable when creating a new Part... Assembly, Component, Material etc. Is this straightforward, and if so, how do I do it?! Many thanks Bob

Hi Bob, To add a new class to the Part classification structure, you're going to edit the Part ItemType. Login to Aras as an Administrator (ex: "admin" User) Select Administration > ItemTypes in…

Hi Bob, To add a new class to the Part classification structure, you're going to edit the Part ItemType.
Login to Aras as an Administrator (ex: "admin" User)
Select
Administration > ItemTypes
in the Table of Contents (TOC).
Search for the Part ItemType.
Right click the Part ItemType and select
Edit
.
Click the
Class Structure button
on the Part ItemType form.
In the dialog that appears, right click on the root node and select
Add SubClass to Part
.
Enter your classification name into the new node.
Click the
green checkmark icon
to commit your change and close the dialog.
Save the Part ItemType.

Hi Bob, To add a new class to the Part classification structure, you're going to edit the Part ItemType.
Login to Aras as an Administrator (ex: "admin" User)
Select
Administration > ItemTypes
in the Table of Contents (TOC).
Search for the Part ItemType.
Right click the Part ItemType and select

.
Click the
