How to clone Document Item with (Document File) File Attachments

Hi, I am trying to clone an object by programming, The cloned object(document) gets created, but the related document file attachment wont get attached to cloned object. Is there any permission for vault to get actual attachment? how to achieve this? Regards, Maddy.
