Excuse me for my ignorance but Aras is considered a PLM software (because we can manage the lifecycle for our products from WIP-review and also create BOM etc) or/and it is considered a PDM software (because we can manage our files)?

Can be both, Aras is not out of the CAD file expansion as many rivals. It is designed from start to finish solution and resilient in order to survive regardless of the right changes of the company. We learned about https://www.topdissertations.org/bestdissertation-review/ now. It started I believe more like PLM but with the help of our colleagues we also made PDM for many clients.
