Empowering PLM and the internet of things
Operating in the cloud, Microsoft partnered with Aras to demonstrate performance analysis of a jet engine sub-assembly. The sub-assembly contains a bar chart highlighting in-flight performance data received from IoT sensors in that engine. Another chart combines that data with change order information pulled from Aras Innovator. This ability eliminates the problem of looking at data in isolation and instead brings all important information together.Floyd explains that, by combining performance data with design data an indication of design problems or other issues are surfaced. This gives the opportunity to get ahead of any problems the customer may encounter with the product.
